Through the keyhole

Yesterday I went sketching with Amanda to the church of St Luke and St Mark in Avington, on the lookout for more treescapes.  I was very taken with the ancient quatrefoil windows in the church porch.   This  was my final sketch, after the cold of the old stones had seeped well into our bones, and my hand was starting to shiver violently, but this was well-suited to my subject - the patina of lichen and cracked masonry I could see through the wobbly old window.
